Here’s one thing I’ve learned in my career as a makeup artist: Most People Do Not Know Their
Skin Type!

  • For example, a lot of my clients think their skin is oily, when it’s actually dehydrated. They'll usually tell me they haven't been using a moisturizer because they think they don't need one, when they actually do. Your skin often compensates for a lack of moisture by overproducing oil.​

  • Not knowing your skin type leads to purchasing the WRONG products. In this case, you'll end up looking for products that are mattifying, with drying ingredients that will only make the problem worse.​
